Terms and Conditions.

About these terms.

Welcome to Allura Medical. These Terms and Conditions (“the Terms”) set out the basis on which we provide consultations, surgical and non-surgical treatment and related services to you. They apply to all patients of Allura Medical and form part of the agreement between you and us. Please read them carefully. By booking an appointment, attending a clinic or accepting a treatment plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and our Complaints Procedure, which is available on request.

Who we are.

“Allura Medical”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Allura Medical, a private surgical practice operating across accredited clinics and hospitals in Yorkshire and the North-West. [Insert registered company name and number, or note if Allura Medical is a trading name.] “You” and “your” refer to the patient, or where the patient is a child or a person lacking capacity, the parent, guardian or authorised representative responsible for them.

Our regulators.

Our surgeons are registered with and regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC) and, where applicable, the General Dental Council (GDC). The hospitals and clinics where treatment takes place are registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Booking an appointment.

Appointments can be booked by telephone, email or through our website enquiry form. We will confirm your appointment and, where we hold your mobile number, we may send a reminder in advance. Reminders are a courtesy; responsibility for attending remains with you, and the non-arrival of a reminder is not a reason for missing an appointment.

Treatment, consent and estimates.

Before treatment begins, your consultant will discuss the proposed treatment, reasonable alternatives, the benefits and risks, and the likely cost. For anything beyond an initial consultation, we will normally provide a written Treatment Plan and estimate. We will not begin treatment without your informed consent.

An estimate is based on the information available at the time of your assessment. Occasionally, the treatment needed may change once care is underway. If your treatment or its cost is likely to change materially, we will discuss this with you and obtain your consent before continuing, wherever it is clinically safe to do so.

Surgery and medical treatment are not exact sciences, and individual results can vary depending on factors including your health, healing and how closely aftercare is followed. We cannot and do not guarantee a particular clinical outcome, although we will always provide care that meets professional standards.

Fees and payment.

Our fees will be set out in your Treatment Plan and confirmed before treatment begins. Fees may change from time to time, but the price quoted in your Treatment Plan will be honoured for the period stated in that plan.

Payment is due as set out in your Treatment Plan. Unless agreed otherwise, payment for each stage of treatment is due on or before the day of that appointment. Where you are using medical insurance, it is your responsibility to confirm your cover and any excess or shortfall with your insurer; you remain responsible for any amount your insurer does not pay.

If an account remains unpaid after we have asked you to settle it, we may suspend further non-urgent treatment and, as a last resort, recover the debt through a collection agency or the courts. We will always contact you first to try to resolve any difficulty.

Outcomes, guarantees and aftercare.

We want you to be happy with your care. As mentioned above, we cannot guarantee a specific clinical or aesthetic outcome. Where we offer any guarantee on a particular treatment, its scope, length and conditions will be set out in your Treatment Plan or provided separately.

Any guarantee is conditional on you following the aftercare advice given to you, attending recommended review appointments, and looking after your health as advised. Guarantees do not cover issues caused by accident, trauma, failure to follow aftercare, or treatment subsequently carried out by another provider. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Your records and data.

We take the confidentiality and security of your information seriously and handle it in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and our Privacy Policy. Your clinical records, including notes, correspondence, images and scans, form part of your personal data.

Your responsibilities.

To help us care for you safely, we ask that you:

  • provide full and accurate information about your medical history, medication and health, and tell us promptly if anything changes;
  • follow the aftercare and health advice given to you;
  • attend recommended review appointments;
  • arrive on time and give the required notice if you need to cancel; and
  • treat our team and other patients with courtesy and respect.

We are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients and staff. We do not tolerate abusive, threatening or violent behaviour, and we reserve the right to decline or discontinue care in such circumstances.
