Why is reconstructive surgery needed?
Reconstructive surgery is usually needed when injury, disease or previous treatment has affected the form or function of the face, jaw or mouth.
Signs to look for:
- Changes to facial shape after injury or surgery
- Difficulty eating, speaking or breathing
- Missing bone or tissue after treatment
- A wound or defect that needs rebuilding
- Loss of confidence in your appearance
After surgery, aftercare may include wound care, dietary support, prescribed medication and follow-up appointments to monitor healing and restored function.
If any of these sound familiar, we can assess what you need to restore form and function.
